Teal, Jay, Grey Heron, Redwing
Another cold morning, but slightly brighter than yesterday. Only one Redwing though. I spent some time in the hide, hoping for the Kingfisher, but no luck. A drake Teal came briefly within photographic range, and a Grey Heron flew in, pursued by a Herring Gull, then landed nearby and dipped into the water a few times for invertebrates. As I scanned across the water I noticed a distant Jay flying over from the far side of the lake, carrying an acorn. Shortly afterwards another one did likewise.
A rainbow appeared over the Wine Press, but then I decided to move on, and the only other thing I saw of any (limited) interest was a Common Gull in the sunshine, so I rattled off some not-very-good shots.
