5 Shoveler, possible Caspian Gull, Common Gulls
It was a grey start to the day this morning, but just about the first thing I saw was a party of ducks mid-water, which proved to be 5 Shoveler, including 2 drakes. They decided to stay at a distance, so although I rattled off a decent number of shots, I never really got them very close.
Later on, there was a message from Andrew about a possible Caspian Gull, so I went to investigate, though I didn't have much time. The bird was on the water, but again was distant, and although it was thought to be Caspian, it couldn't be proven 100%. Another one that got away. On the way back though, a couple of nice Common Gulls were perched on and around the Jetty by the Rowing Club, allowing some half-decent photos.
