Little Egret, Swifts, Large Skipper, Small White

Spent a little time photographing flowers and butterflies initially, with Great Willowherb in full flower (also known as Codlins and Cream, apparently), and Small White as well as Large Skipper on the wing.  From the hide the Little Egret was visible, but distant in the channel.

A few Sand Martins were perched on the barbed wire fence that runs across the nature reserve but the autofocus failed me as I later realised it had focused on the water behind.  I photographed some Swifts flying over the water, then again in the evening, more Swifts were over the garden, evidently catching lots of insects judging by their bloated crops!
