Redwing, Reed Bunting, Snipe, Kestrel, Sparrowhawk, Buzzard

A much more pleasant sunny day today, with no wind to begin with, though a breeze did pick up later in the morning.  A Coal Tit; possibly two, showed in the trees by the path beyond the gate, and some nice fungi (not sure what species) were by the path through the Willow patch. In the 'Big Hedge' area, a movement in a Holly tree caught my eye, proving on inspection to be my first Redwing of the autumn.  It was quite skulky though, and wouldn't come out into the sunshine for any better photos.  There may have been two or three; I could see movements elsewhere in the tree, but could see the birds themselves.

A distant bird perched up at the back of the big hedge turned out to be a Reed Bunting, and a male Bullfinch was also here.

From the hide, a few Teal were about on the pool, and a Common Snipe was standing in its 'usual' spot in the channel to the left of the hide, and as usual, partially obscured by foliage.

At the top of Turnough Hill, I heard a Skylark, and as I looked up it went overhead, followed a few seconds later by four or five more.  At Shaw Moss, a female Kestrel was hovering in the valley, perching on wires for a short while.  A distant Sparrowhawk tussled with a Carrion Crow, and then a Buzzard soared high overhead.
