3 Goosander

Back to normal conditions today, with temperature at -2°C, overcast and a cold wind chill.

No sign of the Little Egret today, but as I approached the hide I could see a female Goosander close to the promontary.  After exchanging some niceties with a couple of regular walkers, I hurried down to the hide to catch the Goosander just swimming right to left in the channel in front of the hide.  The light was a little duller than I would have liked, so the photos were taken around ISO2500, but it was nice to get a close view of such a cracking bird!

Another pair of Goosander were just off the nature reserve, but somewhat further away.
