Lapwing, Little Ringed Plover

From the hide, a Lapwing was standing in the shallows, with the subtle colours of its mantle feathers glistening in the sunlight.  Apart from that there wasn't really anything else to see from the hide, but as I reached the spit near the Pavilion, I came across my first Little Ringed Plover of the year.
