Stonechats, Reed Bunting, Pied Wagtail, Swallows

A pleasant walk this morning in the sunshine, but not a great deal to report.  I went to Syke Farm but there wasn't much to be seen apart from the pair of Stonechat and a male Reed Bunting. A pair of Canada Geese had some newly-hatched young just in front of the hide.  In the wood a Blackbird sat up for a photograph, and on the way up towards Turnough Farm, a pair of Pied Wagtails were displaying to one another on the path, then one flew off and the other flew up to a nearby tree. I walked over Bib Knowl to Shaw Moss but it was very quiet. A wasp landed on a fencepost and a Small Tortoiseshell was flying at Shaw Moss, but very few birds. The Swallows are back at Peanock Farm and one was sat on a shed gutter allowing reasonably close approach.
