Little Egret, Song Thrush, Goosanders
The sun was shining this morning, in calm conditions, and despite being quite cold (c. 2°C) it felt a lot warmer.
Bird of the day was a splendid Little Egret that was perched in full view of the road on the nature reserve, a few feet up in a tree. It stayed put while I rattled off a number of almost identical photos, but eventually I had to move on.
A pair of Teal fed in the small stream close to the second bridge, and when I reached Pavilion Wood, a Song Thrush flew up and landed reasonably close in a tree.
Apart from that it was fairly quiet, but on the far side, a pair of Goosander swam past in the sunshine, offering some reasonable, if slightly distant views.
