4 Wigeon, Grey Wagtail, Mistle Thrush
The weather has been rather inclement of late, with lots of rain. The lake is filling up fast, and not much has been showing. Today however, there were two pairs of Wigeon out in the middle of the water. At one point I heard one drake whistling. Other new for year birds in the last couple of days were Grey Wagtail on 4th, and a singing Mistle Thrush in the drizzle on 5th Jan. A pair of Tufted Duck were also in the SE corner on the 4th.
