Buzzard, Lesser Redpoll, Common Whitethroat, Grasshopper Warbler
Had a good walk around this morning in pleasant conditions. There wasn't much to report around the Lake, but a Common Buzzard was perched on a telegraph pole just beyond Turnough Farm. A little bit further, in Bib Knowl/Rumbelows Wood, there were several Lesser Redpoll buzzing and flitting among the treetops.
At Shaw Moss, a Common Whitethroat was singing, and in the distance I could see a Grasshopper Warbler reeling from a post at the very back of the pools, though it was so far away I couldn't hear it!
