Redwings, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Jay

Had a good walk round this morning in reasonable conditions.  Writing this nearly a week later so can't remember the exact details, but a few Redwings were in Pavilion Wood, as usual fairly tricky to approach, though got reasonably close to one in a Holly tree. I've only just noticed while editing the photos, that this bird is ringed.

I set my camera to F5.6 rather than wide open at F4 to see if this would help with clarity, but of course the light was less than perfect, so ISO was quite high. Photographed some Black-headed Gulls near the Rowing Club car park, and although reasonably sharp, it had become overcast by this time and ISO was around 640 -1000.  A Robin near the Sea Cadet hut was confiding and shows the camera's potential, but at ISO6400 I just need more light!  (or a proper camera).
