several Goldcrests, pair Siskin, Redwings, Song Thrush
A nice sunny clear (and quite cool) morning today. Several Goldcrests were around again this morning, though I couldn't capture any showing their crown; the most interesting thing about the photo here is the appearance of buds on the Sycamore (and the Little Egret-like feet!)
A pair of Siskin were feeding unobtrusively in the top of an Alder, but remained in shadow most of the time; the resulting photo of the female is the best I could manage and this looks washed out after bringing out the shadows.
Better behaved was a Song Thrush that perched briefly in the bushes overlooking the reserve.
