Turtle Dove, Cuckoo, Med Gulls, Red-crested Pochard, Cetti's Warbler, Corn Bunting, Yellowhammer
Called at Titchwell again early morning; a lot calmer and hoping for a chance at the Purple Heron again, but no luck. A Turtle Dove was at the feeding point briefly before flying off and a Cuckoo flew onto one of the dead trees near the east end of the reserve and sang for a while, but completely against the light unfortunately.
Met a chap who told me about Choseley Drying Barns, inland from Brancaster (the first right turn heading east from Titchwell), where he'd had singing Corn Bunting, and also Yellowhammer. I went there next and sure enough, after driving up the hill and down the other side past the barns, the wires ran along the road. There's a pull-in on the left where you can scan back along the wires, and lo and behold, both Corn Bunting and Yellowhammer were perching on the wires, singing. Also Stonechat and Red-legged Partridge here.
