30 June 2021 - Bempton Cliffs

Black-browed Albatross, Gannets, Kittiwakes, Razorbills, Guillemots, Puffins, Peregrine, Barn Owl

Took the afternoon off work to go for the Black-browed Albatross today.  Arrived early afternoon and the bird was present on a distant rock face, giving reasonable views through the scope but no eye-level fly-by unfortunately.

After a couple of hours it suddenly started making some movements then took off, and instantly disappeared.  It was relocated on the sea, and watched distantly before taking off and disappearing off into the distance out of sight.

The usual Bempton accompaniments gave something else to look at while waiting for it to become active, but the weather was darn cold, and altogether a little frustrating, even though it was a tick...

At one point a Peregrine appeared to briefly terrorise the seabirds, and walking back to the car, a Barn Owl hunted over the fields.

Pretty much all my photos are a bit duff though.
