Siskins, Chiffchaff, Goldcrest, Treecreeper, Kingfisher, Rooks, Tree Sparrow (garden)
Went for a walk around the lake with Joanne this morning, and there was quite a bit of activity. A few Siskins were in the Alders, and around the big hedge area there were a couple of Goldcrests and a Chiffchaff. A couple of Rooks flew over, and then a few minutes later another one came back in the opposite direction.
Beyond the hide, there were a few Long-tailed Tits feeding in the willows by the path, and a Treecreeper flew down and showed briefly before disappearing. We met Simon who said he'd seen a Kingfisher just near the pavilion, and after we parted company I had a quick look, and just caught a glimpse as it flew out of the willows in the direction of the hide.
Best bird of the day though by far, was a Tree Sparrow that appeared in the garden, after a complete absence last winter.
