Knot at Watergrove

Received a message on the chat group from Steve Atkins to say a summer-plumage Knot was at Watergrove.  The weather was a bit overcast, but decided to have a crack anyway.  Arrived at the top of the steps near the car park and the bird was visible (though not easy to see) on the island exposed by the recent dry weather.

Views weren't great, but the bird was sporting nice orange-red summer-plumage underparts.

David Ousey arrived after a while, and while we watched, a windsurfer got too close to the island, flushing all the birds.  We watched it fly around for a while but then it was lost to view, and not seen again.
