7 Shelduck, Redstart
Simon reported 7 Shelduck on the lake this morning at 08:02, and I wasn't expecting them to be there when I arrived at around 9:45, since it was a nice sunny day with lots of people about, but they were still present, and performed well until 10:30 when they flew high and were lost to view.
Simon had a Hobby perched in a tree at Shaw Moss, and I was heading that way but didn't see it. However, I did get views of the male Redstart that was present on the fence behind the house at Shaw Moss (also found by Simon yesterday evening).
