12 Whooper Swans
Very quiet this morning, c.4°C, some light rain. A couple of Bullfinches on the hawthorns but not much else to report. Two Teal that flew over from Shaw Moss to the lake was the next most interesting thing. No sign of Med Gull. However at 10:31 a message came through on the group chat from Andrew who reported 9+ possible Whoopers on the lake, viewed from Hollingworth Hill without bins. I dashed round in the car, and there were in fact 12 Whoopers. 11 adults and a juv. They were still there at c.13:30 when I had a quick walk in my lunchtime, but I couldn't get any closer so didn't take any more pics. Had a look for Med Gull again but no luck. The pair of Oystercatchers and a Cormorant were on the jetty though.
