Goldcrest, Pink-footed Geese

Today was a nice sunny day with blue skies, and a few small birds were moving in the bushes by the path. A couple of Chiffchaffs and a Goldcrest were the highlights however.  Near the top of Bib Knowl I stopped to chat with Simon and as we were chatting, I spotted a distant skein of geese way over the top of the houses on the SW side of the lake.  We presumed they were Pinkfeet, though we couldn't hear them at that point; however they gradually came closer and closer and eventually right overhead.  We'd estimated 65-70 birds, but on counting from the photographs, it seems there were 60.
