Stock Dove, Common Darter

Today was very pleasant; warm and sunny, but not a lot to show for it with respect to birds.  The highlight was a young Stock Dove that I encountered on the grass next to Bib Knowl Plantation as I walked towards Shaw Moss. At first I thought it was injured, as it let me approach quite closely, but as soon as I got within a few yards, it flew off strongly.

Later on in the garden, a Common Darter repeatedly landed on the top curved part of our bird feeder, though the angles and strong sunlight made for some tricky photography.
