Cooper's Hawk, American Goldfinch, Red-winged Blackbirds, Turkey Vultures

Flushed with yesterday's success I thought I'd go to Munson Pond and spend a little more time there, so got there fairly early.  However compared to yesterday it was deathly quiet - hardly any sparrows, only White-crowned, very few passerines, and nothing much to report on the water either.  A Cooper's Hawk showed well again, and an American Kestrel perched on the wires near where I'd parked.

Other species recorded were American Goldfinch, Red-winged Blackbirds, Wood Duck, as well as the ubiquitous Yellow-rumped Warblers and Northern Flickers.

Back at the digs in the afternoon, 6 Turkey Vultures soared high above the road, with a Red-tailed Hawk, and an evening walk down Beach Rd produced a Wood Duck, Northern Flicker, one Glaucous-winged Gull and 3 American Crows.
