Grey Wagtail, Green Sandpiper, Buzzard

Warm and breezy, but fairly quiet.  A nice Grey Wagtail was at the stream by the gate, and there were three Great Crested Grebes on the water, along with a pair of Tufted Duck.  Walking up past the farm to Bib Knowl a wader flew overhead and on inspection turned out to be a Green Sandpiper, my first of the year.  It landed on the first of the two pools just over the hill and performed briefly for a couple of minutes before flying off again in the direction of Shaw Moss.

I met Chris Jepson-Brown who was looking for Autumn Crocus but we had a look and couldn't find any.

A pair of wigeon were at Shaw Moss but little else. Walking back past Hollingworth Manor a Buzzard was being mobbed by a crow and flew towards the back end of Shaw Moss/Bib Knowl.
