Pair Goldeneye, 2 Goldcrests, c.30 Siskin
Cool, cloudy & breezy, 6°C.
A pair of Goldeneye were out in the middle of the water this morning, rather distant and asleep. I thought I'd try to get a little closer from the far side but when I reached there they'd gone. Two Goldcrests flitted among the hedges on Rakewood Road, and in the field here, the Carrion Crow sporting white wing flashes was fairly close for a change. Around 30 Siskins were feeding in the tops of the Alders by the bend in the track, but poor light prevented any attempt at photos.
