Speckled Wood, Large Skipper, Harlequin Ladybird, Caloptilia syringella mines
More hot sunny weather and more insect photos; some are the same species as the last couple of days, but with more obliging poses. A Speckled Wood rested on a leaf by the bridge where the stream runs under the road, and a little further on, a Large Skipper played ball in the low vegetation by the path. Nearby, a red-and-black spotted Harlequin Ladybird was also on view.
Not much to report again on the bird front again. Near the Beach Hotel there are a couple of Lilac bushes by the path, and these are festooned with the larval mines of Caloptilia syringella.
