Several Bullfinch, Long-tailed Tits, 7 Goosander
Once again a gloomy morning, completely overcast, 2°C. Didn't manage to get around over the weekend, and this morning all the ducks from Friday seemed to be gone.
A few Long-tailed Tits were flitting in the pathside willows just past the Beach Hotel, (hard to photograph amongst the branches) and several Bullfinch were present between the gate and the willow triangle, feeding on ripening Hawthorn buds. A few Redwing flew up as I went through the wood.
As I reached the overflow, I could see several Goosander inside the boom, and there appeared to be 7, including four drakes, the only non-Mallard ducks apart from one Teal on the reserve.
