4 Gadwall, 3 Great Crested Grebes, 453 Lapwings

A dull but calm day today.  There were 4 Gadwall initially fairly close to the reserve, but then flew off to the middle of the water, where they stayed. Three Great Crested Grebes were also mid-water.  A big flock of Lapwings was flying around and by taking a photo of them in flight and counting them subsequently, it turns out there were 453 birds!  Some of them later landed close to the reserve, but they remained flighty.
