Black Redstart!, Common Scoter, Common Tern

Had just set off on my walk this morning when I noticed an odd looking bird on a rooftop at the bottom of the street.  First thoughts were Dunnock, but there was something not quite right. A quiver of the tail and a hint of rusty red made me think Black Redstart, although the light was poor.  The bird moved on quickly and was lost to view, but fortunately I managed a few hasty snaps which clinched it as Black Redstart.  Further searching proved fruitless.

At the lake, the Common Scoter was performing well close inshore, but for some reason I couldn't seem to get a perfectly sharp photo.   The Common Tern was still around, but again no real joy with photos.  There was a newly-fledged Bullfinch on the barbed-wire fence close to the campsite.

Raining later, from the hide were several Lapwings and hirundines, and Grey + Pied Wagtails.
