Redwings, Fieldfares, Sparrowhawk, Long-tailed Tits
A nice walk this morning in fairly bright sunshine. As I arrived at the bridge by the gate, I noticed a movement in a hawthorn, and there were two Redwings and a Blackbird feeding on the berries. I managed a couple of shots of one of the Redwings before they flew deeper into cover. A little further round, a group of Long-tailed Tits was feeding in the Willow triangle, and then I noticed a fairly distant Sparrowhawk perched up on the 'big hedge' hillside. I took some photos from the path and tried to get a little closer around the back of the triangle, but it flew off before I was in range.
The rest of the walk mainly featured parties of Redwings and Fieldfares going over or flitting around. Around 30 or more Fieldfares went over while I was in the hide, and a few Redwings were flitting around at the top of Bib Knowl, so I tried my hand at some flight shots...
