c.70 Fieldfares, Sparrowhawk, Grey Wagtail, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Goldcrest (heard), Long-tailed Tits
Weather was quite calm this morning, but not a great deal around. A Grey Wagtail flew up from the stony edge and as I approached the reserve on the road side, a party of around 70 Fieldfares flew over from the direction of Rakewood, landing in the trees at the top of Bear Hill. I was able to film them distantly from the road, and also there was a Great Spotted Woodpecker. A couple of Goldcrests were heard but not seen, and not much else other than a Redwing and a couple of Long-tailed Tits until nice views of a Sparrowhawk over the big hedge. I heard that the Long-tailed Duck was still present so decided to go and see if I could get some better views/footage of that.
Some distant hazy footage of my first local Fieldfares of the Autumn.
