Sand Martins, Fox
Walked around this morning in overcast drizzly conditions; apart from quite a few Sand Martins hawking over the reserve, there was very little in the way of bird life.
Heading towards Shaw Moss via Turnough Farm, a number of garden snails were climbing up stalks, enjoying the damp atmosphere, and along the top of Bib Knowl I stopped to photograph some bluebells and dandelion clock, glistening with droplets of rain. A bedraggled fox ran through a nearby field, stopping briefly to stare at me, and nearby a Magpie perched in a hawthorn. Further down, the only birds were two Carrion Crows on the wall alongside Bib Knowl plantation.
