Treecreeper, Jay, Redwings, Goosander, Long-tailed Tits
Overcast again this morning, 4°C, calm, and pretty quiet. A couple of Great Crested Grebes on the water but precious little else. At the stream a small party of Long-tailed Tits were feeding in the bushes but the light was shocking, so no photos that worked out. In Pavilion Wood, a Treecreeper was moving between the bases of various trunks and a handful of Redwings fed amongst the fallen leaves. As I reached the road, a Jay flew into a tree by the road and stayed for a minute or so, looking rather bedraggled.
The afternoon walk was slightly better, though still very overcast, and feeling colder in the breeze. A pair of Goosander were just off the sunken path that runs along Lake Bank, and then nothing much else until I reached the hide, where a number of Long-tailed Tits were feeding on fat balls, giving ample opportunities for photos, albeit at high ISO.
