Linnets, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Green Woodpecker, Meadow Pipits, Jays
A mixture of sunshine and clouds this morning, but fairly pleasant. A party of 6 Linnets flew up from the stony edge just beyond the fence on Lakebank, then nothing too much of note until a Great Spotted Woodpecker called and showed a few times in the Willow triangle (but didn't allow photos). Further on, presumably the same Green Woodpecker as yesterday flew off from the top of a telegraph pole on Turnough Lane, as two Carrion Crows landed on top.
At the top of Bib Knowl, a Jay flew across in the sunshine, and then a decent party of Meadow Pipits flew nearby, some landing on the barbed wire fence, after being disturbed from a nearby field by some people on horseback.
