Whitethroats, Swifts, Stock Doves

Another pleasant day, but not a huge amount to get excited about.  A Whitethroat was singing in the bushes along Rakewood Road, but rather more elusive than yesterday's bird. A few Swifts were flying around just above the treeline in the sunshine, so I tried my hand at some photos with passable results.

I walked down to Shaw Moss but very few birds were about.  A small moth landed on a leaf by the track, proving to be Ancylis badiana, and when I reached Peanock Farm, a couple of Stock Doves were in the field just beyond the farmer's paddock.  I tried to approach a little closer but they were quite skittish and soon flew off.
