Mediterranean Gulls, Brent Geese, Avocets, Little Egret, Bearded Tit, Marsh Harriers, Red Kite, Little Tern
Joanne and I had booked a couple of nights away for our wedding anniversary. We were staying at No.33 Hunstanton but couldn't check in till at least 3pm. Arriving at around midday, we had a nice lunch at the White Horse in Holme, then decided to have a look at Minsmere, just down the road. The weather was warm, sunny and humid, but quite windy. At Minsmere, lots of Avocets, as expected, along with good numbers of Mediterranean Gulls. Three Brent Geese were a nice addition on the Freshmarsh, which later flew over the sea wall as we walked along it. A Red Kite flew west, just inland of the marshes, and of course Marsh Harriers were hawking over the reeds.
Other birds included Little Tern, Black-tailed Godwits, Shelduck and Gadwall, and Little Ringed Plover and Dunlin.
