Roe Deer, Tree Bumblebee, Pixie Cup lichen, Empis livida
No birds photographed today; instead a selection of other wildlife and plants. A Roe Deer was feeding again on the reserve, but there was only a small gap in the trees to view it (shame about the beer can). A couple of plants photographed include Prickly Sow-thistle and (I think) Meadow Vetchling. In the Pavilion wood, a Tree Bumblebee was nectaring on the flowers of Comfrey.
The track from the lake to the top of Bib Knowl had a nice patch of Pixie Cup Lichen, and at Shaw Moss, a Dagger fly of the family Empididae was feeding on a thistle. I believe it to be Empis livida.
