Great (White) Egret, Little Egret

It was raining heavily this morning, so I didn't manage to get out, but the weather had cleared by lunchtime, and although it was very warm, it was overcast and rather breezy. The Great (White) Egret was still on the reserve, and showed very well from the path in the small gaps still available in the trees.

The Little Egret was also still present on the exposed mud but by the time I reached there had gone.  I later saw it flying off from the direction of the Sea Cadet hut back towards the reserve.   A couple of Oystercatchers, one or two Cormorants and plenty of Lapwings were the supporting cast.
