Ruff, Sparrowhawk, Cormorants

Today was a rather dull day, but the Ruff was present again, and showing reasonably well in the gloom from the roadside.  It came a little closer than a few days ago when it first appeared (assuming it's the same bird), but the light was very flat.

Cormorants are starting to appear now in dribs and drabs, and on the far southern perimeter, a party of four birds appeared out of the gloom from the direction of Clegg Hall.

A lunchtime walk revealed not much else apart from a number of hirundines, which became alarmed and revealed a passing Sparrowhawk.  In the evening Joanne and I went round again, and the Ruff was still present in a similar spot to earlier, but the light wasn't much better; in fact it was nearly dark by the time we were able to see it.
