Common Carpet, Smoky Wainscot

Not much birding today; was helping Andrew with the moth trap at Shaw Moss.  Not a brilliant catch, but a reasonable selection for a battery-driven Actinic. Several each of Barred Straw, Small Dotted Buff, Smoky Wainscot, Straw Dot. Singles of Map-winged Swift, Drinker, True Lover's Knot, Large Yellow Underwing, Snout, Flame, Gold Spot (prob Lempke's), Agriphila straminella; a couple of Common Rustic agg, and one probable Small Square Spot. We had a Common Carpet in the morning flying around the grass, which had me going for a while, and when I got home I realised I'd brought a Smoky Wainscot with me, so I released it in the garden and snatched a photo.  Also a Honey bee nectaring on the clover in the lawn before Joanne made me cut it!
