2 Linnets, singing Blackcap, pair Tufted Duck, Greylag Goose
A relatively quick walk around this morning, in nice conditions. A Blackcap sang from the area near the bridge, but proved a bit too flitty to get any really good photos. A pair of Tufted Duck were just off the reserve, and from the hide, the Grey Heron was perched in its favourite spot just to the right. A Greylag Goose swam past to the left of the hide, but apart from that, not a great deal to report.
I decided to head towards Shaw Moss via the Willow triangle and not long after leaving the willows, I came across a pair of Linnets feeding on the hillside to the right of the footpath. I managed to get a few photos, possibly the only ones I've ever taken of Linnet. After many years of not seeing any Linnets, I've now had three occurrences in a short period, but these were by far the most obliging.
