316 Pink-footed Geese

Clear, calm, blue skies.

As I walked along Rakewood Road this morning, I suddenly thought I could hear Pinkfeet, though I wasn't certain.  Scanning the sky I noticed a small party of 17 high overhead, flying SW.  I then realised they were the front-runners to another skein, and then over the next couple of minutes several more skeins came over, all presumably part of one bigger movement.  By photographing each group I was able to confirm later on that there had been 316 going over in total
