16 January 2026 - Hollingworth Lake
Fine drake Goldeneye off the reserve at Hollingworth Lake, with over 100 Lapwings flying in early morning sunshine
Today was rather nicer and sunnier than yesterday, and a fine drake Goldeney was on the water off the reserve, although it never came very close. Over 100 Lapwings were present, and these were flying around occasionally in the early morning sunshine, so I decided to have a go at getting some flight shots.
