Cuckoo performing well in Whittaker Wood, with a pair of Stonechat, 3 Common Partridge flushed nearby and a Goldfinch on dandelion seeds
Went looking for the Cuckoo that's been in the Whittaker Wood/Ealees area for a couple of days and found it in Whittaker Wood. Performed quite well and I was able to get some footage of it, (even a little clip of it singing). Nearby a pair of Stonechat were behaving quite nicely and I flushed three Common Partridge. also managed some reasonable footage of a Goldfinch feeding on dandelion seeds on the track past Bear Hill.
