Cormorants, pair Goldeneye

There are a few Cormorants around these days perching on the mostly submerged fenceposts just off the reserve, some of which are sporting nice summer-plumage white heads and thighs.  Unfortunately the posts where they sit are just a bit too far out of range to get good photos.

A little further round, off the Pavilion area, a pair of Goldeneye were swimming out mid-water.  I couldn't get them both in the view at the same time, but the drake was quite nice in the sunshine.
