Oystercatchers, Redwings
Another extremely dull morning. The two Oystercatchers were again present, this time on the spit by the wood. They allowed for reasonably close approach, but there was nowhere to get a clear view through the trees, a common problem at the moment around the lake generally.
A little further on, I was surprised to find a couple of Redwing feeding on the grass just beyond the picnic tables at the cafe. They're usually quite wary, but these fed out in the open and I managed to get a couple of shots of one of them; they did keep on moving down the bank as I tried to get closer, so not ideal but nice anyway.
