Green Woodpecker, 57 Common Gulls, 8 Goosander
The cold weather continues; yesterday it was 1°C, today -1°C, with snow showers yesterday. A single Snipe and three Gadwall again were yesterday's highlights in the snow. Today a Green Woodpecker flew over the reserve, and I counted 57 Common Gulls feeding in the field just off Rakewood Road in Ealees Valley. Not much on the water, but as I was leaving, a group of 7 (all female) Goosanders flew in. No photos for a couple of days.
