Common Scoter, Grey Heron, Ruby Tiger larva

A drake Common Scoter was on the Lake this morning, in calm sunny conditions. Sadly it consistenly stayed as far from the shore as it is possible to get, so was almost impossible to get anything but a basic record shot.

A heron sat patiently gazing into the water to the left of the hide, and in non-bird news, a Ruby Tiger larva was shuffling across the path as I walked along Rakewood Road.
