Raven, Redwings, Teal, Tufted Duck
Clear and frosty overnight, and a sunny 2°C to begin with, though it was relatively calm and felt milder this morning. A group of Bullfinches was feeding in the usual area, but no decent photos taken. A few Redwings were in Pavilion Wood again, flying up as I approached. When I reached the SW corner I suddenly realised that the Corvid above me was a Raven, and in the rush to get photos, didn't have the right camera settings. By the time I did, it was going away and I was looking into the sun.
This afternoon's walk was still sunny, and quite a few degrees warmer, though it didn't feel that way in quite a stiff breeze. On the reserve were a few Teal, and a drake Tufted came fairly close in decent light for a change. A Great Crested Grebe appeared, then disappeared under water, popping up again around 20 yards away on the reserve pool. The field opposite the gate held a few gulls, including a couple of Common Gulls.
