2 Oystercatchers, several Goosander, 1 Goldeneye

8-11°C; partially clear after overnight rain; rather windy, esp. pm.

This morning there were two Oystercatchers on the jetty by the slipway.  The recent one with a ring around its left ankle, and a seemingly larger bird.  They were still present in the afternoon, giving better photographic opportunities with a bit of sun.  Several Goosanders were out and about, in scattered singles and pairs.  It was nice to see the green sheen on one male's head in the weak afternoon sunshine.  Some interesting behaviour I've not seen before with one pair this morning.  The female was swimming prone with its neck out and tail up, following the male closely. Not sure if this is some kind of courtship behaviour.

The long-staying f/imm. Goldeneye was still present in the south-western part of the lake.
