2 Wigeon, pair Goosander, Whooper Swan

Dull and overcast again this morning;  a couple of Wigeon were feeding on the grassy area just off the nature reserve, visible from the road, and near the activities hut a pair of Goosander were sat on the bank.  I tried to approach using some trees for disguise but they soon spotted me and began to swim away.

Later on in the morning, there was a message from Simon to say a Whooper Swan was present.  I decided to have an early lunch and see if it was still present, so nipped round in the car.  Fortunately it was still there, but as I got the camera out I could hear it calling, and seconds later it flew off in the direction of Shaw Moss.
